If you have an allergy to something, your immune system will sense that the allergen has entered your body, and will produce neutralizing chemicals to counteract it. While some may experience runny nose or headaches, others may have more serious reactions.
Luckily, chiropractic care can help with your allergies. Chiropractic helps by boosting your body's ability to fight off infections, by improving your overall health, and by better enabling your nervous system to communicate with the brain. While many think that chiropractic is only associated with back pain, a vertebral misalignment will put your nervous system under stress. Nerves run through your vertebral column and connect every part of your body to your brain. A misalignment or subluxation can result in a transmission interference, making it harder for your brain to control all the different parts of your body. Because your immune system also receives its orders from the brain by transmitting through your spine, alleviating stress on your nervous system through vertebral alignment will improve allergy symptoms. It will also make you less susceptible to illness and viruses.
Chiropractic care is effective in reducing the severity and occurrence of allergic reactions by aligning the spine and therefore allowing your body and immune system to work at its optimum level.
